Microsoft Office 2011

You bring this up in every topic about Office Mac then only later mention something about billion cell spreadsheets being slower in 2011. Something which (if actually accurate and not just an issue you have) would hardly affect many people.

Office 2011 is great and I don't see anyone else complaining, running 2010 in a VM is mental unless you some strange or rare situation which requires it.

Clearly just me.

Macros on a 1MB spreadsheet also run much quicker (10000x100 cells). Just because the issue becomes stupidly noticeable when you start upping the dataset does not mean that at smaller sizes it runs better on OS X.

Unfortunately, as with any cross-platform low cost software, performance on the non-native OS is dire.

E.g. iTunes on Windows, Office on Mac, etc, etc, etc.

Excel is noticeably worse on Office for Mac now I've actually started using it to do some heavy lifting, I take back my previous praise for it.
