I have a Google Workspace account with a business standard license but I really need Excel. I'm thinking of getting Microsoft 365 Personal for £85 a year but before I do I thought I'd ask here if there are any cheaper or better alternatives?

Edit: I should add this is technically a business requirement but I've left Microsoft 365 Business for Google Workspace and while it is a decent service I don't really want the hassle of handling multiple business services so was thinking I could cheap out on the personal plan since it'll only be me needing Excel.

There's usually deals on the Microsoft 365 Family subscription otherwise another option is to look at retail licencing, 'Home & Business 2024' etc.

Edit - Look on HUKD, 'personal' is on there for £41 for the 12-months and 'family' for £55. Usually they can be stacked, up to a few years, so you usually just 'top up' your subscription when you next see a deal.

I could try it but I'm not sure how it compares to Google Sheets (which is what I currently use) and whether Excel is better than both of them. I was never a massive fan of LibreOffice due to the interface but that is probably because I've used Excel much more in the past.
