Microsoft Surface RT Priced

Screen size though the surface is bigger and 16:9 so it gives much bigger viewable area in videos. Youtube will full screen on the surface while having to use safari on the ipad it always has the top bar so there's inches of difference.

I've not had the Surface long but YouTube videos look very different between it and iPad/Desktop. I'm unsure why this is as it's less pronounced elsewhere but it's almost like the YouTube videos have a higher gamma correction setting on Surface.

Ordered mine on the 27th with cyan cover and it came today.

The thing is freaking amazing and I can't believe how well the keyboard works.
 
Got mine today and so far its fantastic, better than i thought. Ordered on the 28th, shipped on the 30th, received today.
 
Hey ive just tried the tracking that they give in my shipping email and got this, does this mean they where trying at my house today as I never heard a thing!

Also am i right in thinking that the RT does NOT have NFC built in?....kinda miffed at that to be honest.

VaporMg casing killed any hope of NFC. MS replied to queries about why it's not there with a statement saying it's absent as it doesn't work in the Surface - the casing kills the signal. They only get away with it with WiFi because they're using Memo antennas.

If you could link to that statement that would be great. There is a plastic strip where the antennas are so I don't see much reason why they couldn't have implemented NFC if they really wanted to.
 
Would someone be able to post a screenshot of where/how you turn on device encryption on windows rt please?

Can someone with a Surface try using Xbox music, turn off the screen and tell me what happens when the next song plays? On mine there's stuttering but this only seems to occur after a new track has started and only when streaming with the screen off as local files work fine.

Same happens on mine. Quick question is Xbox music free?
