Why do you ask? ;)

I can't believe you have instantly jumped to the conclusion that there is something dodgy going on. There are plenty of legit reasons for needing to know the location of the Windows Update downloads.

Think they're usually hidden folders. First thing you see when you open the WINDOWS folder is a couple dozen update folders.

if he's not online, then autopatcher might be good for him..

its not everyone's cup of tea, but it doesn't install anything dodgy or errornous, has no bugs with it at all

personally i use the ryanvm pack to integrate them into my windows disc each month and format when the new ones come out

They DL to Windows folder. but to see them ya need to go

tools/folder options/ then click. Show hidden files and folders,

Also as ya there unclick Hide ext for known file types, helps a lot with the old school way of hiding .exe files.

Also to add, remember guy,and girls. Not everyone on the OC forums is a wiz with a comp, and thats what I like about them ( the forums).

Something like this, we might see as simple, but a lot don't.

BTW. I am not saying I am a wiz.

PS. there is a way to run the updates that ya auto DL. but tbh as another poster said best to go down the. http://www.neowin.net/ way.

Or go the long way .. MS one at a time deal

EDIT --
