Well in college we use the virtual machine with 3 different consoles, was wondering if it was possible to download them as I presumed they're default for this particular course.
It was probably VMWare for an image built for the course you were taking, so if it was a course on Sever 03, probably have the server 03 OS installed, with a domain and what not set up for you to practice...

Sure, if they'll give you the image and you find out specifically what software they are using... They may be using something completely different and it's not possible.. but if it is VMware, then it is.
The course I did used MS Virtual Machine (not VMWare) and I believe all the VM's were created specially for the course. Not sure it's something you can really re-create on your own as I remember having to run small .exe's that introduced certain problems which you wouldnt have. I reckon your best bet would be to get in contact with someone at your college about it.
I wouldn't recommend just taking them because even though their just VM's they are still a proper install of windows with a cd key AFAIK?
If it was an official MS course from an MS trainer they are definitely not supposed to give you the VM and even if it wasn't, it's a licensing nightmare!
