True but Microsoft doesn't need to charge for Windows anymore due to the amount of money they make from Azure and other cloud services.

Lets wait and see in 10 mins. If they announce it for free their adoption rate will rocket and there's a good chance anyone pre 10 might move.

I think it will be a free upgrade to anyone who owns Windows 10. Apple gives away new macOS each year for nowt.
