Hey all,

I have the opportunity to get this software at a very very low student discount. Is it worth getting it?

I am planning on having a HP Microserver and need a OS for it, worth sticking this on it?

You could get Windows Server 2008 for free via Microsoft Dreamspark if you're a student. Depending on your needs, it may be worth sticking it on it.

EDIT:
You can actually get Windows Server 2008 R2 and much more for free as well!

Right, I can get anything on Dreamspark now. Thanks xD

I can get Microsoft Server 2008 Enterprise, value of £2000... wth lol

So thats how IT students are making some money on the side lmao.

I run WS2008 R2 on two microservers, and it's a great fit.

I would say that actually, the standard version is probably the way to go, the default install is very lightweight, and most of the extras you could install are probably not best suited to a small server like the N36L..
