Microsoft Word document password

My Dad has some shorts stories on a floppy disc but they are password protected and he can't remember the passwords.

I know there is a way to bypass the password using a HEX editor but I can't for the life of me find the instructions on Google.

Anyone have any ideas?

. Passware has a tool for Office passwords.

Thanks. I'm not looking or a brute force tool. There is an easier way using a HEX editor but I can't find the damn intructions

It does dictionary and xieve iirc.
