Not long recieved my shiney new keyboard which I am very happy with.

However, everytime I turn the computer on it goes through a very short 'installing new hardware' procedure before the keyboard is ready. Then promptly tells me the hardware is installed.

Is this normal?

Yes installed that first as it suggested. Odd, I just rebooted and it didn't do it. The backlights don't activate til windows opens so I wonder if It will work in the bios.

Otherwise very happy with the keyboard!

Good stuff. Have got my eye on one of these.

My Reclusa came with a driver disc and it would take a little while to boot in after Win7 started. Lights would not come on straight away either. I recently reinstalled it and did not bother with the driver disc. Just let Win7 install the drivers automatically. Cannot configure any macros, but as I don't use them it is no bother.

How are you finding it for gaming?

And when I turn my PC off the lights all go off on the keyboard apart from the numlock light which stays on all night.

I have to remember to turn numlock off just before it turns off. Very odd.

right just for the sake of being curious, I have pressed the Numlock button, the light comes on, I turned of the pc, and ALL lights go out.

after restarting the pc, the Numlock light was still engaged

It is good for gaming and for typing/general use. It just did the reinstalling thing again. Can't access the bios now using this keyboard for this reason. Mmmm

Had a look in the keyboard section of the device manager and i have 2 items:

HID Keyboard device
Microsoft SideWinder X4 keyboard (Intellitype Pro)

Just tried uninstalling the devices under the keyboards tab in the control panel and reinstalling, no joy. Every boot now it reinstalls including the 'usb composite' device and says it needs to restart.

Can't get into the bios at all. Don't want to have to plug in my old keyboard everytime i want to access the bios.

Problem solved: I had it plugged into one of the usb 3 ports. Plugged into a standard port and working fine, can access the bios and everything. Bit strange though, are usb 3 ports not compliant with the older standard?

Right that little hiccup aside I can say the keyboard for the price is superb. Backlight is much better than I was expecting and the keys are have a nice stroke to them. The wrist rest is not as bad as i thought it would be too. Overall a good keyboard for casual gaming and egeneral typing.

How annoyed am I? Just checked the retailer and since ordering and having the item delivered its now gone down £10 to £23. Sucked off big style! Amazing bargain at £23 tho!

Yes thats the one. Gutted I paid £33 for mine just a couple of days ago. Cracking keyboard and its an absolute steal at that price!

Thats less than half the rrp
