Microsoft?

Nice to see loads of Microsoft fans here who have never experienced a blue screen of death at least weekly.

If you're getting Bsod's weekly you're doing something drastically wrong when it comes to building and running your computer.

And it's probably for the best you buy a mac.

Well I've ruffled a few feathers haven't I. Nice to see loads of Microsoft fans here who have never experienced a blue screen of death at least weekly.

I just wonder, their share price is now $28.73, pennies in the 80s and a steep climb up to 2000 when they were going for $50.00, dropped to $15.00 last year but have doubled since.

I for one wouldn't touch with them with a barge bole. IT is always ripe for a new kid on the block, and Microsoft are now practically a grandfather company.

I haven't had a blue screen in years, bar once when I accidently-on-purpose impatiently pulled out a hdd. AND that's Vista ffs!

On the other hand my macs (Pro/MacBook Pro/Air) Lock-up, kernel panic or otherwise at least once a week.

People's experiences vary. And LOL at your grandfather comment.

digipeep you never answered last time when someone asked you, what OS do you run? It's a pretty important question really, and pretty easy to answer...

This thread and OP smacks of MS bashing, which just smacks of an OSX user as so many seem so bitter...

TBH I doubt there are many people who have experienced a a BSOD weekly, in fact I doubt there are many people who have experienced one in the last 6 months to a year (I know I haven't, i've experienced precisely two on my vista installs since it was released, which was around 3 years ago now?);)

Agreed. With a modern Windows install it's downright difficult to get it to blue screen unless you've been chewing on your RAM or something.

Sorry I run Linux mainly but I have to work day to day with Microsoft OS's and as you probably have guessed I'm not a fan and for good reason, Microsoft are **** at making a decent operating system but are fabulous at trying to make you think they do. One too many blue screens of death I suppose.

And apart from my iPhone I've never had an Apple OS before. I'm actually a huge fan of Sequent Dynix, but alas that OS isn't available any more.

they still post profits year in year out
I hear bad things from inside the company about job satisfaction and their non OS departments always do poorly compared to the rest of the industry. I would say invest but not all of your portfolio
