Mid-build problem

When I load up the computer it POSTS then an message comes up saying:

"Intel CPU uCode loading error
No IDE Master H.D.D Dectected!
Press F1 to Resume"

If I press F1 nothing happens. I've tried getting to the BIOS setting but nothing happens.

What happens if you unplug your hard drive? Or plug in a different hard drive?

I've sorted the HDD problem (I set-up RAID0), now just when I turn it on it comes up with a black screen saying:

"Intel CPU uCode loading error
Press F1 to Resume"

Then if I press F1 it just goes to a black screen and nothing happens.

I have a Q6600 on a ASUS P5K Deluxe mobo.

Edit After about 5 mins it came up with the Vista installation menu. It is VERY slow though.

What order should I be booting from?

O.K I've seen the downloads on their site. Do I get the download under the SATA tab or under the BIOS one.

- The latest BIOS is a beta, will this be O.K?

Does the most recent stable one support Quad?

They might have a Windows-based update program.

I have just built the rig in my sig and didn't have to update the BIOS.

Q6600 on a P5K Deluxe.

EDIT
I do have the B3 stepping though. It might need the update for the G0 stepping.

I have a p5k-e and i had to update the BIOS for my G0 Q6600 to get rid of that error. Go with bios 0503.

If i'm correct the BIOS update is for the G0 Chips. Not the B3s

Or a USB drive, Either will go with EZ Flash.

I've managed to install Vista without the BIOS update so I should be able to download it tonight using the BIOS updater on the mobo CD.

Don't update with the Asus windows updater though as it will most likely fail and kill your board:
