Is there a thread on how to flash the bios for simpletons ?
I'm not sure but there are plenty of guides if you Google. It really is as simple as downloading the desired BIOS .zip file for your motherboard, extract the contents to a blank USB drive, restart the PC and open your BIOS then find the BIOS update option.
Navigate to the USB drive and it will verify the file is compatible. It'll then update the BIOS and restart.
Shut down the PC once it's restarted back to the BIOS.
Unplug the power reset the CMOS (either take out th battery on the motherboard for a short while (or use the manual to find where the clear CMOS pins are and then short them by using a screwdriver to connect them for about 15 seconds (I'm not sure on the recommended length of time but haven't had issues doing it for that long).
After all that when you first boot up your PC the BIOS settings will have been defaulted, just check the BIOS version to see whether it's updated and that should it.
