They (Nike) have dropped out of the running now! wonder if Adidas will be the new sponsor.

sounds like its going to be Addidas

Now Nike have announced they have pulled out, surely the actual announcement has to come relatively soon (after all Im sure a month or so ago Nike themselves were saying they needed to have signed the deal by end of July I think to have things ready for next July or there abouts)

Adidas now frontrunners for #mufc kit deal. Will break all records. Nike blown out of the water it seems

Could be worth around £750m to #mufc over a decade with Adidas

Nike don't have many big teams left do they ? apart from Barca i can't think of seems Adidas are slowly taking over

Nike have been poor for some time and as pointed out have lost most of their deals already.

I think NFL and a few football deals is still big business for Nike, they have the exclusive NFL deal and still have Barca, Juventus, Inter, Boca, Brazil etc.

The Nike kits have been pretty poor in recent years too.

I mean the latest one is 'okay', but it's like they put no thought into it whatsoever.

It's quite staggering how much more our kit deal is worth compared to the likes of Real Madrid as well.

Signing one of the biggest clubs from your rivals who are also one of the biggest shirt sellers is completely different to just renewing nike won't be after real madrid so I doubt theirs will be much higher if at all , and lol at liverpool being on par

I thought 60m would be a landmark, but £70m :D

All season tickets have sold out too for this season - getting back to full strength slowly.....just need a few good signings before the end of Aug and with the general positivity going through OT it should be a good few seasons (with the new Chevy sponsorship starting this year - although I agree the Nike shirt looks awful)

Arsenal's deal is hilarious, we signed it after Juve and AC, in a league with more money, with MUCH higher shirt sales when Arsenal were actually a good team... and we got way less than them. 10 year, 100mil shirt AND stadium sponsorship deal.... truly pathetic. Likewise we've been negotiating a new deal that seems not terrible compared to the existing Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool deals, but compared to the impending deals for top clubs, it will again be miles behind.

We should have been in a 15mil a year shirt only deal that improved every year, maybe being worth 20-25mil by the time it ended. We gave away a huge amount of money signing that deal. Probably should have gotten 50mil for the stadium naming alone. Probably lost out on 150+ million in the past 10 years at least. Our kit deals have also been comparatively awful compared to the teams around us.

It's a joke because when signed we were getting to late stages in the CL, winning titles and were a genuinely top team.

EDIT:- I'd just point out the little addendum to the table of shirt deals there, a note to say there is usually bonus amounts based on shirt sales. For those who insist that new players and big shirt sales are meaningless and bring no extra money because the shirt deal isn't based on sales at all ;)
