Midi Controllers vs Keyboards

I have major reasons for using FL Studio.
Personally when writing I use Sonar Producer because I've used Cakewalk products since the early 90's.

I did it with my GCSE project, but it's a real hassle.

Might be a better idea to rewire it into a free copy of cubase(soundcards often have them, eg emu 0404), as that allows easier recording of the parts since it's more intuitive.

However, if you really need to record in FL I'll have a look. Basically what I did is just keep playing around until the recordings popped up in the box to the bottom of the time graph (with the waveform on).

I had to really mess around with the EMU patching to get it to work, as well as using channels strangely..

Really not very simple at all. However, once you've got the samples into the program it's really easy to add programmed faders etc.

Have you managed to get sound you're playing to show up on the channels of FL studio yet, or not the far?

Yes but its hit & miss.

I was trying with my Focusrite Saffire and Audigy 2 but wasn't getting very far.
I've just had a Line 6 Toneport KB37 and just done a quick track in Sonar so I'll have a go with FL Studio later.
