Problem is, we havent actually played 'well' all season, weve had a couple of good halves, but the rest of the time we been pulling them out of the bag, there's gonna come a point where we actually have to hit some bloomin form, to be fair tho, we havent had Torres and Masch for much of the season so far.

He just doesn't know how to play teams that defend deep. We look pretty good against attacking teams that leave space but tonight he picked the wrong formation, the wrong players and chose the wrong tactics. Someone like Arsenal would've scored a dozen tonightRafa did this last season against Pompey and Blues, that was early on in the season, why he persists in playing Pennant, I really dont know, his delivery is just consistently ****

That's the second very easy chance he's missed this game. Appreciate he scored probably an important chance that wouldn't have gone in otherwise, but he remains unclinical as ever

Because Adams chose to play Crouch up top on his own so Hyppia was the better choice to deal with his height.

Tbh I still think we are missing something in midfield, weve got great industrious players, but we havent got that magician in the middle, Alonso, could have been it, but he isnt
Weve got better players out wide now, and weve class up front, but the middle is still lacking.

I think we lack pace more than anything. Apart from Torres, Gerrard and Babel when he plays most of our players are slow.
