Not really sure to make of tonights match. Arsenal would need something to bounce back against a really tired defeat over the weeked and secure that top spot.

However losing wouldn't be the end of the world (or neither would coming in second I suppose). I wouldn't mind seeing a player or two rested for Chelsea but in all honesty, I think we're going to lose this weekend anyway..

Just noticed that even before tonights games, we're already favourites for the Europa League :o

No doubt somebody will ask, so here's the scenario for Liverpool:
We have to win and hope Fiorentina don't win. If we win and Fiorentina lose then any win vs Fiorentina in the last game will be enough for us. It's pretty complicated if Fiorentia draw today; if that happens then we'd need to beat Fiorentina by 3 goals in the last game or 2-0 which would take it to goal difference which would mean that we'd have to win by at least 3 goals (probably 4 because of goals scored) today.

Anyway, pretty sure we'll win today and it should be pretty comfortable, hopefully Lyon play for top spot and try to restore some French pride after their cheating antics vs Ireland :p

Must be an error wherever you're reading it; he's deffo out for a while yet.

Either that or they're straping that placenta onto his ankle. >_<

I was being a pleb and completely confused myself. Hopefully Rosicky et al. are able to step-up tonight.

Incidently, I think Eduardo was pinned as favourite to score first at 4/1.

hehe. should be an interesting night, can't see liverpool doing anything but winning but the other match is a bit harder to call.

I've gotta say that Carragher coming out and saying how there is more to life than being in the Champions League because of the Europa and the FA Cup to still play for is shocking.

I would want one of my players to come out and say how gutted they are, not "Oh it's alright, we still have the Europa to have a bash at"

:/

Eboue Gallas Verminator Gibbs
Cesc Song Denilson
Nasri Vela Arshavin

Looks good to me, should be enough to see off Liege. Looking forward to see how Vela fairs with his start.
