From experience, never do more than 7 teams in 1 accumulator.
 
I've got 4 accumulators on.

I normally do a sensible one, like you say no more than about 7 matches.

I normally put 5-7matches on at £5 and it normally returns something like £30-80

Considered safe anyway.

Then tonight i've just put 3 silly one on at 50p each, one that has all but Hull, West Ham of the premiership teams losing or drawing. Which if it comes off would return over £1000, but it won't :)
 
Surprised there's no English matches on telly tonight, I'd have thought something like West Ham - Millwall would have been worth a punt on Channel 5 / BBC3 / ITV4 / ESPN etc?

It's going to be a good game to watch that ! It's a great shame that, considering all the matches that are on, the BBC haven't picked one up, Sky should be showing a couple as well. Bugs me to be honest.

Out of interest, as a non-better, why do people flock to accumulators so readily?

As far as I'm aware, they don't actually give much higher odds than betting on each result individually do they? Why would you want to sacrifice your entire bet on one result going awry, rather than spreading the bets to absorb any losses you may make?
