Be interesting to see the 2nd half performance.

I try not to judge too much on friendly

But at the end of the day, this is a strong team and the mistakes shouldnt be that bad, but I guess there is a case of it's still pre season and its the first England game for a while...

and another case of, these 1st team players shouldnt make mistakes that bad at any time of the season.
 
What the hell are the commentators on about???

"England playing well" , "A competent half for England"...

Jesus christ ITV..sack your damn commentary team and get some people on who actually know something about the game of football.

This, I would add that Lampard and Barry doesnt work, and Heskey is pointless against decent teams.
You cant just lump it up to the big fella and feed off knock downs against one of the best teams in the world, especially if that big fella is dog **** like Heskey.

Considering the opposition it's not a dire performance aside from the defensive mistakes, and they are just plain lazy. No excuses, 2-0 at half time isn't good enough but we've not been hammered, just played stupid

Against technically good midfielders like Van Der Vart, Barry looks very ordinary all of a sudden. Might be that 'lump the ball from the centre to the left wing' he does every single time that might make him a little predictable
 
This is really entertaining, Heskey and Barry shouldn't be playing imo.

I still really like the look of VdV, would love to see him at United :(

No, its not a dire performance (which is just as well otherwise it could be 4-0 instead of 2). But its a performance which is a long way from "competent" and "playing well".
