Might be purchasing this tomorrow :) :) :)

It doesn't look like an RS to me, which is what I would expect for that cash. Most likely XR2i?

Does look reasonable, but few refinements to get it looking better;

Lose the bonnet vents, they are gash.
Lose the Chav reg plates.
The red ring on the rims, looks terrible too.
Get the mirrors c/c.

Apart from that, nice motor, I love old Fiestas.

Other than alloys, badges and the vents, what difference was there visually between the xr2i and the RST? I wouldnt have thought much....

vents are standard
wing mirrors are c/c ;] red and black theme if you hadnt noticed :p

They are stock! The numberplate is a bit gay tho.

The car is worth it as most were wrapped around trees, nicked or simply rusted into the ground.

The wheels can be changed easily and the fogs can be put back in. Apart from that it is not chaved up and seems a nice example for the money. Mint RS Turbos can fetch anything up to 5k.

Some people are slightly clueless on this one..

:p Get em RED!

those vents look odd to me?

Is it a FRST tho, it doesn't have a large enough space in the front bumper for intercooler.
Unless its been swapped for an XR2i bumper?

I really like that. Not too keen on the numberplate but i love 90's ford turbos :-) Also there seems to be no rust around the fuel cap = Mega Bonus!

Enjoy it and look after it mate.

Yup lol, i have a series 2 escort.

Seems like a bizarre choice to me, but each to their own I guess.

I hope the current owner is keeping it off the road - its currently uninsured.

What would you suggest?

And :( @ going through the effort to see if it's insured.

Good purchase imo, few small things could be done to it to improve it but that would be visual more than anything else.

Just not my cup of tea, maybe if it was standard but it just looks a bit chavvy to me. Some of the silly mods and the fact its not insured would ring serious alarm bells if i was considering it

A small hot hatch for £2500? Clio 172 possibly?

What effort? I wasnt sure what it was and AskMID is a very quick way of finding out
