Might have to get BT line for adsl.........please look in.

bt don't charge £125 to just turn on the wire, they only charge installation if they have to run a wire from outside.

I was quoted £125 when I had perfectly good wiring in my house. In the end I got it for £30 as part of an 18 month contract deal, but the engineer had to do absolutely nothing in my house. They will definitely charge you if your line has no dial tone as that means it has then been physically disconnected at the cabinet.

no way am im going to pay them for £125, is it sky as well that will pay the installation? A friend told me, how true it is i dont know.

All these claims about when BT will charge you for installation aren't correct. I am an Openreach engineer (BT!) and I can honestly say that you will be charged whether you have a socket/wiring in your house or not. Even if your pair (line) is proved all the way back to the MDF at your local exchange you may still have to pay (even when you have a stopped line/soft dial tone on your socket!) There are no hard and fast rules to obtaining a free BT line, it's basically a hit and miss affair! To the OP: the photos you've posted of the BT66 (grey box) on your wall don't look too promising. One of your (I assume) UG feed cables has a lot of exposed sheathing and this may be detrimental to a broadband connection if that cable is crimped into the same circuit, if you get an engineer out then make sure they sort it properly!
