Might try and play FFXII again

I stopped playing after about 6 hours because I couldn't stand the extremely lengthy dungeons and the grid system not having any structure.

The only reason i wanna play is because I wouldn't mind actually seeing how the story manifests.

Is it worth trying to play again?

The story doesn't really compare to others in the series. I'd say it's still worth it though.

Excactly, the Story isn't that good but I personally want to do everything in a Final Fantasy game so I currently have played 130 hours and have 3 people at level 99 and have only the last optional Esper and last optional hunt to do (Zodiark and Yiazmat)

I would give it a second try, maybe look at a spoiler free walkthrough and see what optional stuff there is to do like hunts, Espers, Ultimate weapons etc..
