Mighty Boosh, I've tried but I cannot understand you.

I used to really not like the Mighty Boosh (But I think that was because my ex used to force me to watch it with a "SEE SEE HOW RANDOM IT IS LAUGH BOY LAUGH" mentality) but having sat and watched it with my housemates from the beginning of the new series I have enjoyed it - some of the quick one-liners have me in stitches!

Mangina.

It's so bloody random, you have to enjoy it in the company of others as you stare at each other in disbelief that something as incoherent as this is being shown on TV.

Sorry are you saying you have a cheese horse that you want to shove in a pile of chemical waste while listening to a chimp singing the five verses of Kahn the Bolton ferret?

Well. I'm a huge boosh fan, but this season in the most part has been a real let-down for me. Seems they've gone all out to alienate the 'norm'. Which is fine really, but it's all just gone a bit crap. The latest ep however (bouncy bouncy) sort of rebuilt my faith, I found it really funny. No crappy character (the garbage fox?, do me a favor he was terrible), just terrific booshy banter.

Moar please yes.

I still crack up a the word 'ferret' thanks to 'I'm sorry I'll read that again'.

Beh, also seems I can't watch the last ep (is it only 6 eps?) online, boooooo.

Edit, 'Sammy the Crab' is the last ep, can't seem to watch it on the bbc3 site though.

this 3rd series in my eyes has been a huge disappointment, seems terribly cobbled together and they dont seem to have the same natural connection they used to. still for me the best of the boosh is on the radio series.

I also don't understand that type of comedy. Along with the fast show, league of gentlemen, Catherine TTate etc just winds me up. However stand up rules and things like simpsons/futurama. Also things like Have I got news for you and never mind the buzzcocks.

Can I have abit of your pizza :D

Sorry chum, it didn't stand a chance. The other half tried to grab a piece when my back was turned, I think she's still locked outside. Hope she's alright.

surely you either like it or you don't?

I'm not sure of the need to question why other people like it and it aggravates me when people criticize it on here.

personally I cant stand anything remotely to do with Ricky Gervais but i can understand that some people just find different things funny and i don't spend my days worrying about it.

Definitely, I'm not having a stab at it I was really trying to find out what people thought was funny about it. There must be something, same as with Ricky Gervais that makes it/him funny. So far all I've managed to glean is that it's so random it's funny...

Also Bottom + Eddie Murphy. Utter cack both of them.

Blimey, I didn't think it was possible for people to hate Eddie Murphy. Until this post I hadn't heard of anyone Anti-Eddie!

Don't wait for me, just go and watch the first two series. Then, and only then, should you start on the 3rd. :)

I think I'll do that, grab the first series and start there. My somewhat less than sober state, whilst defending my pizza on what seems like a weak episode wasn't a good start by all accounts!

Edit - now we're talking. Simpsons/Futurama is my comedy mainstay, the intelligent quips and insights and satirical interpretations are just plain genius and work on kids and adults alike. I've always had a massive appreciation for stand up, Murphy, Prior, Proops, Kay, Izzard, Williams - all awesome. Not only for their comedy, but for the fact they can do it on the night live in front of hundreds if not thousands with precision and delivery.
