Migrating from BT - Email Q?

I'm considering moving from BT Yahoo Broadband to another provider and have a question about email. Will I still be able to keep the email address that I use now with BT or will they shut the account? Or will it be a case of they'll keep it so long as I dial up every so often?

Anyone who has done the move and has some advice I would be most thank ful for it.

I think if you upgrade to the BT yahoo premium mail, you can keep existing email addresses. It costs £1.50 per month though.

They say you need to dial into it once every 90 days to keep it active or switch it too premium mail.
I've had a BT e-mail thats not dialed into BT for 6 years and it still works just fine.
