Agree with above... I've got two kids, a 20 year old and a 5 year old little girl and tbh I do think about them when I go out and ride within my ability. Does it mean I won't have an accident, of course not, however ride within it, sensible BUT FUN and you can have a fantastic days riding. people only post the bad things about bikes and forget just what a fantastic thing they really are!!!
EDIT: My one near off was in Austria/Swiss/Italy tour in August, 4 of us.. two of us were giving it the jellies coming down the Stelvio the other side... not the 180 switchback side. After 5 minutes we were riding too quick really for public roads... on a swpeeing left, I leant right over and the centre stand (since removed as paranoid) hit the floor and threw me right up and nearly over a massive cliff... somehow it straightened itself. Warning that was to slow the fck down!
