I like it and it runs perfectly on my Rig (X1800XT, X2 4400+ & 2gb Ram)

Only critisism(sp) it seems smaller :\

Yea, I'm not sure how much of a plus that would be.

It runs OK on my rig. Athlon 2500, 9600pro, 1gb ram.... Hey i'm upgrading later at the tax payers expense.

These maps seem to be getting increasingly resource heavy. I know they look better, but surely they could be coded a bit better...1

I have a 6800 and can run all the old maps at 4xAA and 8xAF without the slightest hint of juddering. (1280*1024)

For port, inferno and assault, i had to reduce my settings to 2xAA and 4xAF to not get any judders at all.

For Nuke, i had to turn HDR off.

This map, i have had to turn off all the AA and AF, everything else is still on full and still judders ocassionally in the real open areas, but the 2xAA makes a real difference imho.

really? my 6600gt has ran all previous maps fine at those settings (always above 40). Militia has made it go down to around 30 though

To me personally, an unstable fps dropping to 40 all the time is totally unplayable for me, but I know some people don't mind too much, but I like a constant 60+ :p

The quibble is they've totally changed the way it plays etc. I know it's a new map, and it's kind of a re-imagination of the whole thing, but doesn't look as though it'll be as fun as back in the day :p

seems they are doing that with a lot of the remakes, changing textures and scale and adding little props to the maps, they just feel like new maps with an old feel heh

Wicked map, i love the attention to detail such as in one area being able to break tthrough the weak roof etc. Hdr owns! :p

tbh i prefer that, the old milita was not one of my favourites tbh but i really like this new one, as previously mentioned the attention to detail is great, and the whole map just looks amazing.

completely agree, i know people moan about how human eye cant see above 35fps or something, but i can tell when my game is only going 35fps (which it never does :P) im not happy unless i have a stable 50fps in any game

Just had a quick look at it. It's one of the best looking maps in CS:S in my opinion, especially out the back in the forest.

Militia was fun? :p

It was fairly good once you got near the house, but the whole problem with the map was that it was so damn hard to actually get to it, especially once the AWPs came out.

Well, back when I did play public in the mid-betas, I would tend to AWP as CT, and totally annoy the T's by whoring them :p

Always has been, and probably always will be a very poorly balanced map.

Aye. It got away with it early on because there was more variety in the people that played it really. Less people would AWP, and the skill level was lower, so you always had a better chance of making it to the house.

I feel old when I think about how long ago that was. :( :p

anybody notice that grenades seem to bounce off the windows in this new map? Only played it a few times and flashing the front windows often ending with it bouncing back at me.

Not played it yet! but dam do those pics (poster above ^^) look bright!
Can't say I was too much of a fan of this map on 1.6, so not hoping for much on CS: S either
