Is Mimecast still the best email security service to use? Currently using TrendMicro email security and having too many issues and need a new solution. I've read Mimecast support isn't what it used to be, is that still the case?

Cheers

If you ever plan to leave Mimecast expect a massive charge to leave with your data.

Barracuda is who we moved from Symantec to and very happy with it. Circa 150 users.

I like Mimecast as a product, I find their support can be very hit and miss, and the fact that they charge you a premium to be able to phone support and then still keep you on hold for seventeen months is a bit of a joke.

Seventeen months is more than a bit of a joke

Mimecast can be equal parts amazing and frustrating. They're busy investing in lots of other things so they'll occasionally take their eye off the email security game whilst they're busy trying to sell their crap browser isolation stuff.

I've been a Mimecast customer for about 10 years and the support is very variable. We pay for the premium support package which helps but at times they'll let a ticket sit idle for too long for my liking.

It's an impossibly complex beast when you really look at what it can do so seemingly simple things, like quarantining all inbound emails that have a certain subject isn't as easy as it should be. It's nice though that policies can be applied with fantastic granularity - you can specify a polucy to run against a single email address which makes testing stuff nice and easy.

Very good coffee at their new London HQ.

They're very open to negotiation when it comes to exgestion costs. Especially towards the end of their FY.
