ok, so I finally got my WHS2011 system setup but am having a few problems.
Media/File Server :
Celeron E3400
Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT
4GB RAM
1x 500GB Samsung F3
2x 1TB Western Digital Black
WHS2011

music via the webstreaming thing is excellent, but video, although the buffering is very quick (pretty much instant) the quality is poor. I have set it to best in dashboard, so is it down to the net speed (either server or client side) or the spec of the server (read in one of the help files that the cpu on server does a lot of the work for media sharing).
CPU seems to fluctuate from 68-100% when streaming video content. so really, is my system good enough for the job, or should I look at a better system to do this?
I suppose if I test it when I get home on the network (which wont be limited by internet speeds) I will be able to confirm/eliminate the internet side of it.

thanks in advance.

yeh, our exchange has been upgraded to infinity, but not my cabinet yet, so hopefully in the next 6months I should be upgraded.
im not over fussed about the download speed being as high as it is (15Mbps) so would they do a trade off and lower my DL and increase my UL speed?

You could go virgin media.

I get 30mbs down and 3mbs up.

tell me about it. do you think its worth ringing bt or do they normally give you the max upload?
what sort of speed would I need to get good quality video?
