Hi
I'm new to this forum, so excuse me if this question has been covered already.
Im looking for advice.
Im planning on building a mid range gaming PC with my son and buy the necessary components here on overclockers.
He only playes minecraft java edition and from what I have read it doesn't need a very high end PC.
Can someone recommend the most suitable components that we would need.
Thanks
Mko

The Mac Mini M4 base spec runs Minecraft Java Edition well and is £528 or less. It has 16GB ram, 10 core CPU and 256GB SSD.

If you read this and full out the template it'll help.

I think you should build the PC with some future proofing in it as your son may eventually want to play more power demanding games in the future.

Will have to weigh up all options..
I love the mac mini idea as I believe it has a very powerful CPU. I hadn't considered it but will now.

More detail would be great as @Rob_B linked to.

Specifically with regard to Minecraft, do you know if this is Vanilla java or modded Java? The requirements for Vanilla are pretty easy but some big modpacks can take 8gb-10Gb of RAM, add shaders and they can hit the GPU hard etc. So specs for vanilla vs modded will be quite different.

If it’s it’s powerful APU system you’re after then a zen5
4/5 minisforum system is the way to go. The Zen parts will walk all over M4 for similar or less money and with less hardware limitations.

Thanks for all your thoughts...
I've decided to go with the mac mini m4
One question is where do I buy it at £528?

It's against the forum rules to link/direct to competitors of Overclockers unfortunately.
