Hope everyone's got one hand on their balls and the other on their sword. You guys did remember to forge swords didn't you?? 
Actually I didn't, not before someone stole the 14 diamonds I'd been saving for one and some armour. If I find the thief I'll leave him in a pit with my pet creepers.

SMP Health Update is out
I’m expecting bugs on this one, so I’m monitoring the usual channels (irc, twitter, email) extra carefully.
Basically everything I talked about in the last post is done, with some extras such as visible hurt animations (how did I forget that?) and visible fire on burning mobs.
The lighting still isn’t right, I need to rewrite it. I think I know what the problem is now, though. Or rather, I know what ONE problem is. You know when you’re traveling by boat, and you see weird strips of light on the ocean floor in multiplayer? That.
Also needed is visible armor on players and mobs (sheep!), and some tweaks to reduce laggy moving mobs. And bows and arrows.
There are a couple of new settings for the server:
pvp. True by default. If this is set to false, players can’t hurt other players.
spawn-monsters. True by default. Set to false to remove all monsters.
spawn-animals. Also true by default. Set to false to remove all animals.
Although, remember the server won't work until hey0 is updated which may not be until late tonight!

So inside this fort, are there set building plans? Or can we freestyle to an extent?
Ive dropped a load of cobble into the main chest area - and am happy to act as an armory as I should be able to build a few swords and gold armor combos.

They will not install a broken update till it's been fixed.

Well a few moments ago, Notch released an update to minecraft. However, the update appears to be rather broken with random Server & Client crashes.
We are monitoring the situation & will update when the server becomes more stable, depending on how badly it breaks hMod.

Just remember everyone, if your client has updated because the server is running unpatched you won't be able to connect
well its going to update regardless? Whenever you log in it patches itself

Didnt notch say not to update the servers until Heyo Mod has been updated?
Maybe thats whats going on, the server people have patched Minecraft, but not got the new Heyo Mod which is not out? Or is it?
