Minesweeper help

Thanks to this thread I've finally learned how to play Minesweeper :D (I never really looked before and thought it was just a case of randomly clicking).

It looks quite a bit different in vista :D.
 
I think my best ever time was 12 seconds, looks like my task of the night is to beat Topguns 8 seconds :p

Edit: Vista Business doesnt have minesweeper :eek: I've been owned
 
On the small size, getting a top score is mostly a matter of random clicking very quickly on hundreds of games. I've played Minesweeper a bit, but rarely on the smaller sizes.

It does, I'm using it :).

Open the Control Panel, then Programs and Features. On the left choose 'Turn Windows features on or off' and check all of the games :).


edit: I just tried inkball, strange game but fun :D

Well ive changed my mind and im off to play CoH for a bit, i might be back in a bit to have a go, else ill revive the thread tomorrow :D
 
I´m happy to say that through spending so much time on the game over the years I have got my time down to 102 seconds on expert, but there are almost always occasions when you have to guess, so lots and lots of retries indeed. Once spent 7 hours on it, almost straight.:rolleyes:
Meh, helps me relax.
 
Real men play advanced minesweeper. Beginner and intermediate modes will very, very rarely never work out whereas advanced only works out once every so often. If i still had my XP install i would show my times but i dont like the vista minesweeper implementation.


Freecell > Minesweeper
 
I'm so sad but I've got 8 seconds, 45 seconds and 135 for beginner, intermediate advanced, had expert down under 100 once though and my mate got 4 seconds on beginner but couldnt do any of the others, its the saddest game ever but well addictive.
 
Here are my best times so far, i had a begginer of 2s before but some bint cleared my scores! :(
