Mini ITX Build

The Silverstone fans I stole from a TJ07 are too loud and not worthy of this build. I'm going to replace them but I haven't decided on what yet. Most likely Noctuas to match the heatsink but damn they expensive.

Ah bugger daveip unfortunately theyre already dispatched. I can't imagine the difference will be significant enough to merit returning the ULNs immediately.

Yep the case's biggest downside is the very small range and wattage available in the PSUs. Hopefully there will be more soon such as the SST-SX600-G 600W one from Silverstone.

Well damn :) thanks for the heads up. They'll arrive tomorrow then I can start returning them. Also I imagine PWM would be a better choice anyway so its all good, just harmless delay. Might as well do it properly considering the price.

Mini itx so underrated as always. :D some great parts used.

I was using the same noctua cooler when I had z87 setup. I managed 4.4ghz overclock on this little thing in a coolermaster 120 case. Excellent little thing.
I am sure 4.2ghz could be a comfortable oc in that case.

Since upgraded to the MSI Z97i gaming ac board too ;) , and I've got a really nice clock of 4.6ghz on my 4670k. Though must say I changed the case to a corsair 250D as we'll.

Love to see some more pics :D

Thanks dude :) I'm really happy with the build overall. Its surprising how accessible the overclocking is considering I looked into it just a few hours ago. Unfortunately I can't get temps I'm happy with running LinX at the moment. I'm hoping the Noctua fans I get will let me boost the speed a bit. (then again this might be an unreasonable thing but I don't know how crucial these temps are to real world temps). Oh but my memory is running at 2400MHz now (extremely easy to set with XMP profiles).
On the topic of the new fans I've got the wrong ones sitting next to me but rest assured I will take more pics when I have to take it apart again.
 
The actual 100% correct fans HAVE ARRIVED :D I also took more pics by request but you didnt say what you wanted.

Nice Shot of the motherboard area, cables are mean in such a small case but I've managed to keep the heatsink area clear.

Graphics card out of the case, surprisingly not that difficult but i found it easier to disconnect the cable from the power supply instead of the card.

Pic with fans installed. Noctua do an amazing job, I'm using the rubber things to attach the fans to the case. Not terribly easy particularly for the fan closer to the front of the case (which i installed last :o).

Its all closed up now :D the fans are so much more quiet than the silverstone ones I was using. The lil thing just sits there making a consistent pleasantly quiet hum.
