Mini ITX Workhorse

Thanks. Just looks naff and then add the PSU cable out the back and the thing can't sit very far back on a desk, can it?

ADDED Q: It looks like the lip under the 5.25 bay is perfectly positioned to stop you fitting 2 SSDs under the 5.25 (you can fit them above but not below) so you have to turn the SSD to be able to fit a single one. Stupid if that is the case. I wonder if the lip could be cut off and then you can get 2 SSDs under 5.25 and the 3.5 on the floor - Thoughts?

Gives you an idea of how many ssd's can be fitted. They can be put in under the ODD bay, also can.t put it flush to the wall as power cord will stick out but you cant really have any pc case flush against the wall can you?

So I haven't updated this in a while and thought I would take some pics!
I have now changed over the PSU to a Superflower Leadex one and added a Galax 970.

2 120mm Noctua NF-F12 Industrial PPC 3000 RPM fans in push/pull intake on the front with the old SP120L's now on the side. I have one acting as an intake to cool the air down from the radiator and the other to exhaust any hot air stuck in and around the MoBo. There is also a smaller Noctua NF-A8 80mm in there somewhere directing air towards the SP120L which is exhausting.

The temps are similar at idle but under load the system is a lot quieter and temps are broadly the same if not better! This is obviously based on the science of guessing and personal preference along with a smidgen of placebo! All in all quite happy!

Ah but where is the 5.25inch bay? I drilled out the rivets and got rid of it for no other reason than to declutter the inside! I moved the 6tb HDD to the bottom of the case using the same mounting points as on the flip side. Made a wooden base to screw to the bottom and jobs a gud'un!

Last thing I did was gaffer tape around the intake fan. I had seen this on a few youtube vids as it apparently forces more air inside rather than it blowing around the 4 sides of the fan? No idea if it works, will see how it goes! :)
Anyways, here's some pics
