You never know who else might be reading the thread so it's an educational post.

It doesn't have to be ethanol though, that's the great thing about stirling engines. They don't use internal combustion, they use any temperature differential. So you could use an ethanol burner, or a tea candle, or ice, or a cup of tea, or your hand, or the sun. Sure, you might need different designs to utilise some of them but still.
