Minimum age for agreeing to a contract?

So it would be completley legal for someone under 18 to say make a hackintosh or install oem windows on another motherboard?

If a person under 18 cant legaly agree to contracts and such, how can they legaly install windows if they cant agree to the terms and conditions during installation?

When you buy a packet of crisps, there is a contract of sale, so yes a minor can enter into a contract.

I some contracts have requirements like age though obviously.

you enter in to a contract when you buy anything. As mattyfex said, it'd be illegal to buy a packet of crisps if it were illegal to enter a contract under the age of 18. there has to be some some clarification on age limited contracts? anybody have any links?

Well the wiki page says, "In contracts between an adult and an infant, adults are bound but infants may escape contracts at their option (i.e. the contract is voidable).".

So it would seem that you can agree to certain contracts, but your not bound to them.
