Minimum GFX for COD4?

Whats the mimimum GFX card i could get away with for running COD4. Its for a fairly oldish A64 3200+ @ stock currently on onboard gfx and to run at 1024x768 ( max his 15 inch tft will do ). Needs to be PCI-E and cheap as chips.

Any chance a 6600GT/7600GT would do it with minimum details/no AA/AF?

Its for a spare machine so my nephew can play, fed up of him being on mine

Surprising it run quite well on Q6600 + 8800GT.

I'd say a 7600gs/x1650 or better will at those levels.

Surprising it run quite well on Q6600 + 8800GT.

Why is that surprising? 8800GT is high end.

Get about 40-125 fps on a 7300gt with a custom config

My housemate played it through on his 24" iMac - 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo (mobile), 3GB of RAM and a 2600Pro graphics card (also mobile). Did fairly well through most of it.

well yous should get some second hand cards maybe as i have bought x1650xt and use it for 2 weeks only

Smooth on my a64 3200+, 6800gs and 2gb ram. Medium I think, I just left it at auto detected defaults.

My old 7800GT/X2 3800 did an OK job, struggled a bit with rain, but otherwise very playable.
