Hello,
In putting together improved PCs for myself / grandson I have now assembled a "bundle" but no spare bits to test it!

I have:
ASUS A68HM-PLUS motherboard (M-ATX form factor)
AMD A6 6400K Black APU Processor OR AMD Athlon X4FM2+ AD860K
2x8GB DDR3 memory PC3-12800 1600MHz
NVIDIA GEFORCE GT1030 Fanless GPU

Looking at these - they would make a reasonable "home-office" PC ???

I have assembled this into a bundle (with the A6 6400K CPU). The parts worked when I disassembled them but I haven't tested it as of now - and I have no other parts now (no PSU / Case / OS).

What is the minimum hardware I need to test the "bundle"? I can use keyboard / mouse / monitor from another PC but I don't want to start disassembling working PCs! (just in case)

Can I do it with just a power supply? How would I start the PC without a case / start up button?

Thanks, Mel

Psu not sure of you will need a hard drive but if you get one you could also install windows.

To start the systen use a screwdriver on the power on pins on the motherboard.

An ssd will be give the bigest performance on the pc and will have much quicker loading times and feel more responsive.

Thanks - I hope it will boot into the BIOS without a HDD/SSD.

Now to obtain a power supply .........

Thanks. Should have a push button switch in my electronic goodies box - perhaps with my raspberry Pi bits.

That should be enough to let me know it will form the basis of a useable PC (perhaps not a good gaming machine though!!!). That's all I want. So I can put it in a box if needed - grandchildren may want a PC for school work if schools are closed much longer - Mel
