Does anyone know what the minimum period for returning a product purchased from a high street store is ? I know online is statutory 7 days but I cant find any info on High Street retailers....

any help appreciated :)

I don't think there is any. Its up to the descretion of the store

This. If they allow you to return it, check with the store, they may only give you store credit, they may not. There is no DSR type rules for stores, the whole point of DSR is to give you the right to inspect the goods on arrival as you would in a shop.

I know for us its 7days providing the goods are sealed and not opened in anyway. 21 days from time of purchase if the unit has gone faulty you can return for an exchange or refund

No. If the goods are in full working order the store is not obliged to take them back at all. If they are faulty, or not fit for purpose, etc, then you (IIRC) a "reasonable time" to return them, which is usually a couple of months. It would depend on whether the item was one which you could be expected to use/test immediately. What policy a shop has for allowing returns purely for customer relations is up to the shop in question.

"When you buy something from a shop you are entering into a legally binding contract. Therefore they don’t have to give you a refund simply because you have changed your mind. Only if one of your statutory rights is breached (i.e. that the item is damaged, of poor quality or not fit for purpose) do they have to give you your money back."
