I tend to suffer the opposite problem to you though, I'm almost invariably too warm in any office I've worked in so while I'm down to short sleeves and visibly overheating the rest of the office is complaining of the chill.

I've been down the compromising route, not one person is willing to even talk about it anymore.

As for office decorum, it's anybody's game as far as what you want to wear here. One of the directors wears shorts, tshirt and wanders round bare footed. All year round :/.

Sadly, the H&S person is one of the aforementioned directors, and he finds it amusing like the rest. The impending air conditioning is causing me a bit of stress actually, I know it's going to be set too low for me to work comfortably, and the re-circulated air..

Wish we had that problem here. It has always been too warm in our office.

Buy a temperature gauge and go see your doc. if you're the only one that is cold it sounds like there's something wrong with your circulation, as said.

I have a similar problem as you, only the exact opposite. I'm sat with my shirt sleeves rolled up, my top button undone and I'm taking regular trips to get nice cold water. The air-con is set to 25 degrees, and I'm sat right under it - mmm... hot, dry, re-circulated air.

I really wish I could open a window here... :(
 
Well, they sound like a nice bunch. If it were me, and politely trying to compromise (just shutting your window isn't an unreasonable thing to do!) didn't work, I'd be looking elsewhere for employment.
 
Just take one of them aside and quietly ask them something like "So, do you guys get off on taking the mickey out of the symptoms of my heart condition?". "It's not like I can help what I'm born with, is it?".

Do your damnedest to make them feel guilty. :)
 
I'm sat right under the air conditioning here at work. It's not too bad at the moment, but some days I'll sit there in my coat and scarf it really is that cold :/ I'm not the only one either

I am looking for employment elsewhere though, but for reasons not related to being cold all the time.

I'm the total opposite, get very warm and literally struggle to do any work if it's too warm, just makes me tired and sleepy :o

What about the fan heater idea? We used to do that at work because our secretary was always complaining about being cold when we were in shirts with the sleeves rolled up, so we got her a fan heater to shove under the desk - problem solved.

Aye thats a good idea I hadn't thought of. Will see how cold they set the Air con and then maybe give it a go.
