OK, this is nothing new and seems to have been around for awhile now, but what do you people think? Is there any reason to worry about hard drives going up in price like the graphic cards etc?

Explanation of what this is:

I doubt it, difficulty has now gotten way too high for any meaningful ROI (I think something like 85% of Burst has already been mined), so the demand for HDD mining isn't there.

I suppose if a whole bunch of PoC alt-coins were to suddenly appear things might change, but as you say Burst has been around for a while and it still seems to be the only game in town unless you include "hybrids" like Sia and Storj.
