Mining now On Hard Drives!

OK, this is nothing new and seems to have been around for awhile now, but what do you people think? Is there any reason to worry about hard drives going up in price like the graphic cards etc?

The rate of return isn't so great any more. What he made in the last month is worth about £30.

I didn't look last year, but the 2nd hand price seemed very close to the new price in Jan/Feb.

I doubt it, difficulty has now gotten way too high for any meaningful ROI (I think something like 85% of Burst has already been mined), so the demand for HDD mining isn't there.

I suppose if a whole bunch of PoC alt-coins were to suddenly appear things might change, but as you say Burst has been around for a while and it still seems to be the only game in town unless you include "hybrids" like Sia and Storj.

Given there's little news about mining on hard drives compared to GPUs as of late, I don't think it sounds like a good ROI.
