OK a bit of advice please.

Today a lorry crashed into the side/back of my car, basically pulled into my lane without checking i was there... hit the back wheel/door section and spun me into the middle of the road (2 lane dual) -no other cars involved

Speed was below 30 and no injuries to either party - however my car has significant (yet driveable, bodywork damage)

We drove up the road 200 yards to stop the blocking of traffic, swap details and went on our merry way.

I have since called and claimed via my insurance company and they will obviously pass to his 'company/insurance' for liability.

Anyway, my insurance company said there was no need to call police if there was no physical injuries/they didnt need any incident report number

However, should i have reported this? I am concerned that i should have and that this may effect me?

all advice appreciated

thanks,

no only call the police if there is injuries.. or if you suspect the driver to be driving illegally... aka drunk/stoned/ without insurance/ stolen vehicle/ u get the message
