It's not a tiny detail at all. A little bit of homework would have shown that your statement was incorrect. People come on here asking for advice on what to spend their hard earned cash on. Giving poor information is not good advice. Personally i would never recommend a Corsair CX series psu to anyone.
As for learning something new. I am always learning things on here but what i do make sure of is any information that i provide is correct.
Look. It is a small detail. It's a good PSU. I have one. I made a mistake, granted, everyone makes mistakes; even you, you're not perfect in every way. The PSU works absolutely fine. I don't give a damn if you wouldn't recommend it because I have positive first hand experience of this very PSU. So please stop banging on about 'hard earned cash' because it's only 60 quid. If it goes bang (which is highly unlikely) OcUK or Corsair will RMA the power supply for the cost of shipping which is an inconvenience but not the end of the world. Just because you found an error in my information, doesn't mean you should try and rape me for it. I understand that you're very upset but there's nothing I can do about that. I was only trying to help this bloke out by recommending some parts. I would go as far as to say that my input in this thread has been somewhat useful: Yours, on the other hand, has literally been whining about a tiny mistake I made. It is a tiny mistake: A big mistake would have been saying that this PSU can support 2 690's in SLI because it would have incorrect information that would affect the fundamental functionality of his build. A small error (which is what I made; this doesn't seem to have been made clear in previous posts) is the same as (hypothetically) recommending him the budget oriented Patriot RAM my friend has in his build and saying that the PCB is printed by G.Skill. While this is not true (realistically or hypothetically), the RAM is still of a decent enough standard of quality to ensure it for everyday usage (backed up by my friend's heavy usage of it) for me to recommend it. So I made a mistake, I'm sorry that my information was incorrect (the mis-information regarding Corsair and Seasonic PSUs was provided by someone on OcUK forums, if everyone were to follow your rule of checking all information before posting it on the forums then I wouldn't need to check it because it would already have been checked by the forum user that informed me) but the RAM is still good RAM (just like the PSU; you can't argue with me on that) so it doesn't matter because if he were to go ahead with the build, using said RAM then it wouldn't matter because it would still work fine.
My point is that in the context of this thread, the fact that I said the Corsair CX600M was manufactured by Seasonic is not a big deal; it might be to you but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't make a difference (mainly because I own and use this PSU on a daily basis and have had no issues with it whatsoever).
Say what you will about this excessively long post and any grammar or spelling mistakes that may entail but it really doesn't matter to me because I believe that I got my point across.
