Mint for oap ?

Hi my mother has said she would like a desktop rather than her iPad and I just wondered if I put mint on it should she be okay using it, really only browser use to start with ?

as far as starting and shutting down and clicking the browser icon and web searches yes, and probably that's all it will be used for

Mint is pretty much my go-to for bringing old laptops back to life for people. Especially if replacing a mechanical drive with a small SSD - everyone I've installed it for loves it.
