Mint sauce anyone?

It's lambing time in my neck of the woods at the moment. Got this shot yesterday which I'm pretty pleased with. I also got me a new Sigma 70-200 f2.8 on Friday but alas this wasn't taken with it (was with my trusty Nikon 18-70)

Anyway, how cute is this...

I really like it compositionally, and the exposure is spot on - but it looks a wee bit soft? Almost front focused?

Ta fella. Probably cos it was taken at quite low aperture (4.5). At full size the lamb himself is pretty sharp actually.
I think given the nature of the pic a softer look suits it more perhaps anyway?
