will there be a second ? loved the first and loved the music, just loved the whole metropolis feel, it was as if you could almost feel the wind ( even though i played with a fan on in the room :P) but it gave such a good feel.

hear conflicting news, hear its cancelled, now i hear its going to be powered by frostbite engine 2. does anyone know. its games like this ill always remember, along with doom and hitman.

It was a great game.

I hope there's some sort of sandbox game mode. I'd love to explore a city free-running.

I dont think it made enough money for them to make a sequel.

Also EA has this thing about shoe horning every game with multi player, so unless dice can come up with some thing EA will not give the go a head for a sequel

The masses didnt "get it" unfortunately.

If there was a sequel, it would be dumbed down.

I loved Mirrors Edge personally.

it says here that they want to make it special if there going to release another but its a serious thought to make a sequel, they just dont want to ruin the franchise.

Can't see it happening when they can simply spend money on more profitable titles.

Was a great game but it started to become too combat orientated towards the end and you had to spend more time beating up and shooting enemies than you did running around and avoiding them.

It all depends how they do it if they are actually doing 1. A 'spiritual' sequel that will probably be **** because it'll no doubt just take the free running and turn it into an FPS or a genuine sequel which corrects the excessive amount of combat the game had in the later stages.

I'm sorry but that’s PR talk, if it had made money they would be deep in development of a sequel right now, possible even released it, just look at dead space.

Like i said before I don’t think EA will allow dice to make a 2nd game until they can find a way of putting multi player in the game, it even says that in the article.

Personally I thought the game will having a lot of promise also had a lot of problems and would like to see a 2nd game just to see if it can reach its full potential

First one did not sell well at all, I can't see EA pushing for a sequel.

Neither did Dead Space.

I loved Mirror's Edge. The whole 'hyper-real' feel of the environments where everything was so crisp, and the skies were so blue.

It pulled off the best 'body awareness' of any game I've played, really making you feel like you were there.

There were problems - the poorly animated manga style cutscenes, when the in-game stuff looked so much better, and the awkward gun combat, but overall it was an excellent game with a fantastic visual style and I would love to see more.

Funnily enough I wanted to buy the game at launch but passed on it because it used an early version of Securom with limited activations and no revokes. It wasn't until it appeared on Steam without that DRM that I bought it - and by then it only cost a fiver.

... the awkward gun combat...

Don't know about you, but I have never once fired a gun in that game, it was too much fun taking them off people and knocking them out :D

First played it on a mates 360 and absolutely loved it so I bought it on Steam.

I would love for there to be a sequel!

Awkward gun combat is hardly unexpected. She's supposed to be a runner not a soldier, the problem was that in later levels the game turned into an FPS that used a bit of free running to get the drop on enemies and mainly used free running to get between shoot-outs.

This was my biggest problem of it. Though I completed it without using guns, the end of the game was spoilt by the need to go out of the way to kill things rather than run.

I loved the concept, setting and art style, but as a game it was just about average for me. :(

It didn't really slow down though, the only bit that I found a bit annoying was the server room with armed guards everywhere but I was playing on hard. For most of it you could just do some clever navigating and wack a sniper in the face :p
