mirrors edge 2

Mirrors Edge was a missed opportunity IMO - I wouldn't take anything away from or change if but they should have added either an addon or companion game that used the environment and backstory to produce something similiar to Deus Ex fps/lite rpg in the same gameworld.

This was my biggest problem of it. Though I completed it without using guns, the end of the game was spoilt by the need to go out of the way to kill things rather than run.

I loved the concept, setting and art style, but as a game it was just about average for me. :(

There were some occasions where I got lost and had to beat everyone up till I figured out where to go...

But I particularly remember the garages once you got inside that ship. For the most part it was a fun challenge beating the guys up (though repetitive since all you ever did was jump kick, punch a few times and jump kick) but the guy with the LMG would just tear you a new 1 when you tried to close in on him... After the 30th restart you just think '**** it', knock out the first guard and gun down the rest. All the encounters probably could be done without it but most of them just required you to run around in circles for god knows how long until you managed to pick all the enemies off. When you only had the odd enemy to deal with who you could avoid or disarm and run off it was much better.

^^Nice video, Rroff.

I always thought the visuals were really good, and from other videos it looks like it focuses too much for me on the melee combat side. If it was a bit more balanced in other areas it might be a title for me. I still may get it if it becomes ridiculously cheap again on Steam.

Mirrors Edge was one of my top games

I especially loved the riding on top of the train through the tunnel. Nearly blew my mind. Awesome sound and everything

Was like whoaaaah

Mirror edge for me is a very underated game, its one of my top ten pc games. I loved the whole setup, from the look and feel of the city and the way the game played. Topped off with a good sound track. I hope ea/dice do bring out a sequal. All this talk of m/e makes me want to play it :-)

i fell in love with the first one, i wish game would be more diverse, mirrors edge was one of the few. Fingers crossed it comes out soon, along with natural selection 2, battlefield 3, deus ex 3 :D

It wasn't too bad just a little on the short side, the train level ticked me off though, having to do that about 20 odd times.

The original was a pretty decent game, well for the price i paid in the steam sale anyway. I did finish it and I would recommend it, but I wouldnt re-play it.
