Mirror's Edge 2

Those images do look beautiful.

As for the release date... isn't it an EA release? "when its ready" and "when its finished" are not the same thing to them I'm not holding my breath.

Those graphics, especially the PhysX stuff, looks incredible.

I doubt it'll be using PhysX if they want it to be anything like that on consoles, they'll need to be using a unified physics API that is compatible on all hardware, and the consoles won't be doing hardware PhysX.

No reason why they wouldn't use it on PC though (and showcase it in the trailer using PC footage)?

ow man, Thats going to be sweet:eek:

since the up coming gen of consoles are more like PCs should hopefully see quality of games go right up ( or at least in theory)

Personally, I think the new consoles will be the death of PhysX anyway, so for that reason as well I can't see it being used.

Because PhysX is locked to nVidia hardware, developers won't include physics that require hardware acceleration as an integral part of a game because they'd have to make games for nVidia only, which isn't going to happen.

nVidia isn't going to let up on PhysX being locked to nVidia hardware either, so I think the natural move is that it'll be used even less than it's used now, which to be frank is barely at all anyway.

Where'd you find that?

It's in the description of the video.

Regardless of being PC like, the quality would go up anyway, as the consoles are typically the lowest common denominator.

It didn't need a reboot

The thing is the first games "story" is so insubstantial due to the game being so short.

I think what they mean by "reboot" in this case is just them saying that they are going to start over with a new story.

It's not like the story of the first game is what got peoples attention.

It doesn't look like a reboot. A reboot would imply a complete change in appearance too, which it clearly isn't lol.
