Well I couldn't see a thread for this so was wondering if anyone is playing it and how they are finding it?

Having not really played the first one and hearing some dire things about the general game play of the first I wasn't excited about this when it was first announced. But after seeing last years E3 samples it was a must on my list.

But boy after 3 hours of game play this has me hooked. It has that assassin creed feel about it in terms of parkour (but actually works as intended) and the combat system isn't too overly complicated which is a refreshing change. The mixture of traditional stand and fight vs using the surroundings and attack just feels so nature (even if I can't always pull off what I am trying too ;p)

the "time trial" features are a nice addition and I can see me spending a lot of time trying to figure out what the fastest way is on some of the runs.

Plus any game that has collecting items is a tick in the box for me.

For those that want to see what it is like feel free to take a look at my first three hours of game play before I got a little stuck and had to take a break.

It is certainly a very pretty game and is very fluid. Can't wait to get back to this tonight and over the weekend to run around the rooftops.

Played the 6 hour trial on EA Access for X1, will wait for it to hit a PSN sale and get it for PS4 as the game seemed very short (story wise)... And the GFX was a tad rough looking but it was good fun to play...

Only reason waiting for PS4 version to drop in price is I prefer that system for multi platform games, and I'm more invested in PS4 then X1.

Well my son is a massive original Mirrors Edge fan and he is loving the new one too. I guess it all boils down to how much you liked the original game. The nostalgia probably earns it a few more marks than some of the reviews have given it.

The first one was my favourite game of the last gen, not played my copy yet (cracking it out tomorrow), but played through the sizeable beta a few weeks back and really loved it.
