Miscreated (post-apocalyptic, survival-based sandbox game)

So how is this? I actually forgot about this :) Just got a copy on kinguin for around £10 ish. It was released on steam EA on the 30th.

How did you get it looking that that MarkeR? Mine does not seem to look as good. As for the game itself it seems quite fun, plays well and the map seems to be ok. ATM it really is just gear up and PvP but it is fun exploring. Can't complain for a tenner, shame it has a 3rd person mode as it plays much better in 1st person imo.

Roadmap Overview

These are the primary areas we'll be focusing on over the next couple of months. Several of these are already being worked on and we'll release updates to the game as quickly as the features are ready.

AI System - We'll be looking into third party solutions instead of using Crytek's system.
VOIP - In-game voice with distance cutoff and attenuation
Emotes - Animation emotes you can have your character play (wave, flip-off, etc)
Map Expansion - Adding new areas to the map
Weapons - Adding several new weapons
Anticheat - Looking into additional third-party solutions and in-house solutions
Buildings - Adding more diversity and larger, more commercial styled buildings
Throwing - Add throwing system, so you can hold and throw items
Crafting - Expanding the crafting system recipes to make all sorts of fun stuff
Base Building - Add base building system back in that will be extended over time
UI - Add missing features (keybinds, for example) and additional options
Cave System - Add the cave system back in

so is this worth it? I am a sucker for Dayz as bad as it is but I want a reason to stay alive instead of going in the pvp areas once I have everything i want.

How does this stand atm? I did see Towllie play this over Halloween

At the moment it does not have much to do tbh, pretty much walk around to get gear and kill people. I got mine for under a tenner on Kinguin and I have already had my monies worth. It is at the stage where you play for a couple of hours and wait for the next patch. It looks nice and it plays well, if the £10 deal is still on it is worth it imo. If you want tons of content it is not here right now. Once they make the map bigger and add base building it will get much much better.

Well it sounds like its at the same stage of Dayz SA then! I am tempted as it did look a lot better.

Where are the best places to get weapons from then do they have air bases and such

Witcher, what's the UI and inventory system like. The inventory system in DayZ did my head in so hoping this is much simpler.

It is pretty simple atm, hats etc go in the named slots. Top is your quick bar 1-4. The right hand side gets more spaces when you get a bag etc no scrolling like it DayZ which annoys me big time when looking at my gear. It does only have a pistol in the game right now, no other guns are in. Picture:

Caved in and bought it :-)

Thoughts? Although it does need a few more patches for more content but around the £10 mark I think it is a pretty good price tbh seeing as it should get better each month.

New Patch:

Anti-cheat System

I want to start off by sort of apologizing for not talking about anti-cheat yet, but there has been a very good reason for it. Unbeknownst to the Miscreated community we've had anti-cheat measures in the game for around three weeks now, but we didn't want to publicly let people know. During that time we have collected a lot of information on cheaters in the game - many thousands of individual statistics, and we have already issued our first ban wave. Let me be perfectly clear on this - we will not tolerate cheaters. If you get banned, it's permanent.

Any forum posts or complaints about it will either be ignored, or more than likely just deleted and the forum accounts banned as well. We have also been working directly with Valve on making sure VAC is properly integrated into the game, so that will add another layer of protection. Having said that, no game will ever be free of cheaters and hackers, to say otherwise would be extremely naive of anyone, but we will do our absolute best to reduce them as much as possible.

Roadmap Items
More weapons and playable areas will be coming soon!

Sorry, you can no longer hit a car with a squeegee and kill people.
