So because she's in a beauty contest it makes it okay for *some* people to say REALLY nasty things about the girl? Hell no.
The whole role model thing - if she promotes healthy eating and a healthy life style and is lovely then why wouldn't she be great at it?
We don't know whether she does or not so we can't go saying she'd make a pants role model body wise! Some would argue she's better than the stick models we see, with *some* of them starving themselves silly and eating very VERY unhealthily.
When I have kids I would prefer them to be slightly on the tubby side and wanting to eat than underweight and trying to starve themselves!
Oh and before people say she must be unhealthy to be the size she is... there are many MANY healthy/fit people out there that are "larger" than "average". When I ran in a 6km race I was over taken by many people who were much older and also people who were much larger than me. I was sooo unfit - it was embarrassing.
Also look at rugby players! THEY'RE ENORMOUS! As in HUUUGE! I've known some right massive blokes (and not just muscle but wobbles too) who played rugby and they were sooo fit and healthy! Great role models!
