I had 9 months off, it was painful but more painful to post because of people just reading mine and other peoples posts completely wrong.
I find it very rude when people are misquoted.
He seems to be banned most places, hotukdeals for example:he got suspended for summat then just never came back after the suspension was up. i imagine while he was suspended he decided to read back through some of his old posts and realised what a dingbat he'd been and has been too embarrassed to come back

There was a chap, not entirely sure of his entire username (think it had Rob in it though), that used to post on the programming subforum a lot. I sticks out in my mind as I remember him being ridiculously talented with coding - always offered advice, especially on PHP security best practices.

I personally disagree. I found him to be an unfunny irritant.
He disappeared for a while and then came back with a Battletoads troll copypasta thread under another username. He was reinstated, posted another load of self-important tripe and then was banned. Good riddance.
The only benefit of his being here was my just saying a simple "hello" to him in any thread he was in for no reason. I found this incredibly funny, as well as his increasingly uncomfortable and suspicious reactions as to why this kept happening.
